Relative Personal Care Services

Relative Personal Care Services are services provided by the relative's of the client, such as children, grandchildren, parents, but services cannot be provided by a spouse. 

 

Relative Personal Care Services include bathing, hair care, mouth care, nail care, dressing, undressing, ​shaving, stand by transfer assistance, positioning, feeding assistance, ambulation inside and outside, bladder and/or incontinent care, bowel care, toileting assistance, accompanying, medication reminder and assistance with exercise.

Relative Personal Care Services do not include homemaking services and relatives cannot perform homemaking services for the client.

Personal Care Services

Personal Care Services are to be provided by a caregiver and not a realtive.

Personal Care Services include bathing, hair care, mouth care, nail care, dressing, undressing, ​shaving, stand by transfer assistance, positioning, feeding assistance, ambulation inside and outside, baldder and/or incontinent care, bowel care, toileing assitance, accompanying, medication reminder and assitance with exercise.

Homemaking Services 

Homemaking services include meal preparation, dusting, floor care such as mopping, vacuuming, and sweeping, cleaning the bedroom and the bathroom, cleaning the kitchen, dishwashing, taking the trash out, doing the laundry, linen change, and shopping.

In-Home Support Services 

IHSS provides assistance with health needs and personal care and household tasks. The clients have the opportunity to pick the agency attendant of their choice, who can be a friend or a family member including their spouse.
